Hello Dollies
Family recipe. Melted butter, graham crumbs, and three layers sprinkled on top, held together with condensed milk poured over the whole thing. No mixing bowl — it all builds in the pan.
Ingredients
- ½ cup butter
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs, crushed
- 1 can condensed milk
- 6 oz chocolate chips (I use more)
- 1 cup chopped peanuts (sometimes takes more)
- 4 oz coconut
Instructions
Melt the butter in a 9x13 pan.
Spread the graham cracker crumbs over the butter.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the crumbs, then the peanuts, then the coconut. I sprinkle each until the layer is covered. It always takes more than the recipe calls for.
Pour the condensed milk over the top.
Bake at 350°F for 22 to 25 minutes, until the coconut tips look golden brown.
Notes
The amounts for the chips, peanuts, and coconut are guidance, not measurements — go by coverage. Each layer should be covered before the next one goes on.
Watch the coconut tips, not the clock. Golden brown is the signal.
